Our Support Programs

AHNI strives to ensure family and individual stability through a holistic approach to property management that provides linkages to needed services. Property managers and on-site family support personnel interact with residents to assist them in accessing available services.

Services that may be made available to residents include:
  • Individualized family support
  • After-school programs
  • Day care services
  • Promotion of positive parenting
  • Budgeting and financial assistance
  • Job support and training
  • Credit counseling and financial literacy
  • Home ownership counseling
When possible, residents are linked to services that are part of the Four Oaks organization; some Four Oaks services are available in all 99 of Iowa’s counties. AHNI collaborates with other community agencies when services are not available through Four Oaks, but are important for resident success.

Iowa Workforce Development Virtual Access Point (VAP)
Affordable Housing Network residents are able to access information on jobs and other services through the Virtual Access Point at our Cedar Valley and Hawthorne Hills communities. Iowa Workforce Development provides job placement, training, veteran employment options, unemployment insurance, and career and education resources through the VAP. This service also includes a "live chat" function enabling the user to talk to in real time to an IWD employee.  IWD personnel will be ready to help our tenants with job-related concerns on daily basis.
